This position is for an EC Teacher at an alternative school serving middle and high school students. Minimum requirements are a B.A. in Special Education with preferred concentration in behavioral/emotional disabilities along with certification in secondary Language Arts or Math. Preferred three to five years practical experience with excellent behavior management skills, a working knowledge of special education programs and services, IEP development, and a variety of successful education delivery techniques, and interventions. Must be a self-starter with good communication skills. In addition to classroom instruction, the successful candidate will work with administrators and teachers at all schools in the development of IEP's and the coordination of EC services for incoming students to insure the provision of least restrictive environment.
