The Catalyst Conference is a great opportunity and learning experience for developing high school students.  The conference takes place on the campus of UNC Chapel Hill, and encourages today's youth to take an interest in national and worldly issues.  Through leadership and personal development sessions, students will learn to serve as catalysts for positive change in their communities.  High school students in grades 9-11 are eligible for application.  For more information, see Miss Tidwell by Friday, November 6.

The North Carolina Governor's Page Program is a leadership opportunity for students 15 - 18 years of age in good academic standing.  Eligible applicants will spend one week in Raleigh, our state capitol, touring government buildings, attending press conferences, observing commission meetings, participating in service projects and meeting the Governor and/or other state elected officials.  Please see your counselor if you are interested.  More information can also be found at www.volunteernc.org
