• Yearbook Presales will be Monday, November 2- Friday, December 18, 2009 &  Monday, January 4- Friday, February 26, 2010.  The cost will be $30 each.  Presales will be in the main office.  Checks and Money Order should be written to LifeTouch. If a student does not buy a yearbook during the presales, and purchases one in May, the cost will be $32 each.
• What if WLMS PTA earned a donation every time you searched the Internet?  Or how about if a percentage of every purchase you made online went to support out cause?  Well, now it can!  GoodSearch.com is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate.  Use it just as you would any search engine, get quality search results from Yahoo, and watch the donations add up!  GoodShop.com is a new online shopping mall which donates up to 37 percent of each purchase to your favorite cause!  Hundreds of great stores including Amazon, Target, Gap, Best Buy, ebay, Macy's and Barnes & Noble have teamed up with GoodShop and every time you place an order, you'll be supporting your favorite cause.  Just go to www.goosearch.com and be sure to enter William Lenoir Middle School PTA as the charity you want to support.  And, be sure to spread the word!  Thank you, Nancy Crawford- WLMS PTA President  
• The Young Group has provided a website that parents can access to apply for the voluntary coverage. The website is www.k12specialmarkets.com. Parents will need to enter the school district name: Caldwell and state: North Carolina. Then complete the application and provide credit card information. Once done, the parent can print off their i.d. card.
• Operation Rescue Our Children (OROC) After School Program: Middle School Grades 6-8 @ Martin Luther King Center, 122 Greenhaven Drive, For information contact Linda Tate @ 828-759-0899.  They operate Monday through Thursday, 3pm-5pm, September 8, 2009 through June 9, 2010.  They are providing Homework assistance, Tutoring, Mentoring, & Cognitive Behavior/Lifestyle Education.  Twenty-one of the teachers from William Lenoir will be volunteering their time to this program to help our students.
