Welcome to Mathematics in the Seventh Grade!

Dear Students,

This year is going so fast!  The third and fourth nine week mathematics curriculum will focus primarily on four critical areas of instruction:  (1) applying and extending your previous understanding of operations with rational numbers (2) solve problems involving scale drawings and informal geometric shapes; (3) working with two and three dimensional shapes to solve problems involving area, surface area, and volume; (4) developing your understanding of operations with rational numbers and working with expressions and linear and non-linear equations. These topics will be extensive and will require your commitment to take an active role in our classroom activities and discussions. I encourage ALL students to share in the instruction and demonstrations within each class.
