Volunteer of the Year
|
Each School selects a Volunteer of the Year in accordance with local school guidelines, i.e., secret ballot, PTA/PTO selection committee, etc. The school's Volunteer of the Year completes a Volunteer of the Year nomination form and returns it to the Community Relations office. A committee reviews and selects a system wide Volunteer of the Year whose name is announced at Caldwell County School Volunteer luncheon sponsored by Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation. The VOY receives a special gift and media recognition.
School winners are recognized with a certificate and a 10-year plaque that has been placed in each school displacing the name of each Volunteer of the Year.
