I am thrilled to be in my eighth year as principal at DSES. My personal goal is to help make Dudley Shoals a better and better place for children to learn. I believe in continuous improvement. With our students, families and faculty, I believe our students can and will amaze us beyond our imaginations. Outside of school I enjoy bluegrass music, gardening, fishing, cycling, camping, cooking, and hiking with my family. A supper table tradition at my home is to tell a "funny" - that is, a funny or touching story from the day. Your wonderful children give me a great story to tell every day. Thank you for sharing your precious children with DSES every day.

Ever wonder… The student planner is the primary means for regular teacher-parent communication. Feel free to write notes in the planner if you have questions or information for your child's teacher. Your child's teacher can also be reached through this website. Teachers are also available for scheduled conferences as the need arises. If you ever have a question about what is going on at school or with your child, please contact us. When we are all on the same page, our students succeed. Recognizing that a strong student-family-school connection is critical to success for every child, we are hosting a number of activities this year to foster the school-home connection.
