K - 2 Literacy Assessment 4th Quarter We will begin reading Letterland decodable booklets as we continue word families. Word families with -un,-ug,-ut, -et, -ell, -eck. We will also learn about consonant blends including S-blends, L-blends, R-blends. We will learn about magic -e- and long vowel sounds in words. During the fourth nine weeks of kindergarten, your child will be tested on ABC recognition, sound, and writing production. Students are responsible for all letters of the alphabet. Students will segment words, create rhyming words, and read 4-7 words per page of leveled books. I expect more from higher level readers. |
