Safety Fair |
The entire family is invited to attend the Caldwell County Safety Fair on Saturday, March 21, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Caldwell County Fairgrounds in Lenoir. The event is free for the entire family --- Free hotdogs, drinks, door prizes and many exhibitors promoting individual and community safety. The first 250 families will receive an Emergency Preparedness Kit.

BBQ Dinner - Dance - Picture Sale |
PTA BBQ fundraiser scheduled for Friday, November 30 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. The cost is $5.00 per plate for Pork BBQ, beans, slaw, pickles, and a roll. Deserts (provided by GFMS teachers) and drinks are available for $1.00 each.
PTA is taking and selling pictures at the dance that night to raise money to buy a digital camera. |

If you want to have a message printed for your student in the 2007-2008 yearbook, NOW is the time! Send your message and your money in a sealed envelope to Karen White. Your message may be no longer than 25 words. We do not have room for pictures. Each message costs $10. PEP CLUB ON HIATUS |
Pep Club will be taking a short break between seasons and will have its first winter sports season meeting on Friday, November 16th. We will make game day posters and spirit items for players that day. Basketball and Wrestling begin their seasons on November 28th, with wrestling at home and basketball away vs. William Lenoir.

Our annual Boosters Club golf tournament will be at Orchard Hills this year on October 27, with tee time at 1:30.

Tutoring Starts |
Our after-school tutoring program (reading only) for targeted students will begin on Wednesday, October 24 from 3:00 - 4:40 every Monday and Wednesday.
Tutoring is being provided by Brainworks Learning Center from Hickory. Parents are responsible for providing transportation for the students. |
