Caldwell County Schools believes it is essential to provide full and complete information about the goals, achievements, activities and operations of the school system to the student, staff and citizens of Caldwell County.

To further that aim, Caldwell County School and its Board encourages increased community involvement in schools by authorizing to:

• Prepare or guide the preparation of information including newsletters, articles for periodicals and newsletters, television and/or radio releases and special pamphlets and other assigned material.
• Disseminate information about school policies, programs, procedures, achievements, decisions and critical issues.
• Foster cooperation between the School Board and appropriate community agencies.
• Maintain a close liaison with mass media and publicity organizations.
• Encourage maximum use of volunteers in the schools.
• Maintain a written plan of communications which will be available to employees and to the public upon request.

The Caldwell County Schools further believes that community paricipation in the affairs of the school system is essential to maintain mutual confidence and respect.  We must work together to improve the quality of education for our students.  We will exert every effort to identify the needs of the community and to be responsive.
