The mission of Granite Falls Middle School is to empower each student to meet his or her full potential through the building of character and learning experiences that are rigorous and relevant to the 21st century.

To all Granite Falls Middle School parents and students:

For the safety and protection of our students who are so allergic to peanuts and peanut related products, beginning this year GFMS will be a Peanut Safe School. Students with this severe allergy could have a life threatening emergency if they inhale or touch peanut products.
This means that there will be no peanut butter or related products used in the cafeteria. We ask that parents do not send any peanut or peanut related products to our school with your child for lunches, snacks, or special celebrations.
With your cooperation and support of our effort we will be proactive in protecting the life of every student here at GFMS!

	Beginning with the 2010 - 2011 school year there is a new medicine administration policy. Click HERE to download the appropriate form to be filled out by your provider. This form is necessary for all prescription and over the counter medicine. Caldwell County Schools Medical Forms are available by clicking HERE.

The NC PTA congratulates the GFMS PTA for achieving the NC PTA "District Membership Award" for 2009/10 which signifies the highest percent growth for our grade level in District 7. We once again won the NC PTA Bronze Acorn award for membership and this year we will receive the "Score More with PTA Award" for our active involvement in PTA Mission and Values promotion. We recently received word that GFMS PTA is the 2009/10 winner of the NC PTA President's Membership Bowl. We had a 514.3% increase in membership from last year. Granite Falls Middle School will be engraved on the silver bowl and will reside at our school for the 2010/11 school year.
