| Excessive Tardies and Early Dismissals |
|
Students who attend school regularly and punctually have a more successful academic experience. Consistent attendance and promptness are an expectation at HMS. Students are expected to be in attendance during the instructional hours of 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. every school day. Arriving late or leaving early interrupts the instructional day. Please limit unexcused late arrivals and/or early dismissals. Accumulated unexcused tardies and/or early dismissals in excess of three during a nine-week period will result in a student being assigned to ISS for one day. Tardies and early dismissals will only be excused if a student provides a note that is for medical, legal, and/or religious reasons.
