Preschool Referrals
Preschool speech therapists receive referrals from childcare centers, preschools, Head Start, doctors, parents, and other agencies. If you think your PRESCHOOLER (age 3 or older) has delays in speech, language, or hearing development, you can make a referral to the speech-language program by contacting the Preschool Case Manager,
Thomasine White
, at Valmead Elementary School (754-8287).
School-Age Referrals
Each year, all kindergarten students will have a speech-language screening. While these screenings catch many students, they do not catch all students. If you think your school-aged child is delayed in the areas of speech, language, or hearing development, please contact Melanie S. Shell, MS, CCC-SLP at Sawmills Elementary School (396-2610) to ask about making a referral.
