Write a page long reflection describing what you think Alexie's intended purpose is for writing this piece. What is he trying to say about Indian Education? What are two important points he makes? How does he make sure his audience understands his purpose? Who is his intended audience? September 1 (A)/September 3 (B) 1) Read Smith and Columbus' exploration narratives (PH text). What was each man's purpose in writing? How do their different purposes cause them to write differently?
