On student work, you may have noticed (or heard your child mention) "UNRAAVEL". This is Larry Bell's process used to prepare students for end-of-grade testing in Spring. Here are steps used to tackle a reading selection, improving student connection with reading:

Underline the title

Now predict the passage

Run through and number paragraphs

Are you reading the questions?

Are the important words circled?

Venture (read) through the passage

Eliminate obviously wrong choices

Let the questions be answered
